The Sufi said:

To be free, you must freed yourself from your Temptation and your Evil Inclined Self, Reproaching Self, Inspired Self, Reassured Self, Well Pleased Self, Well Pleasing Self and Complete Self.

The wind in you cannot have control because

wind can be breezing or stormy

The fire in you cannot have control because

fire can be glowing or flaming

The water in you cannot have control because

water can be still or stormy

The earth in you cannot have control because

earth can be sandy or muddy

Do you see that each element can have 

a good or a bad character? 

Good, that's why the light has to be in control because we cannot say: "this is good light" or "this is bad light". The light is perfect in its entirety and its task is to tie all the elements together.

So seek light, and you will become Light.
