Looking up the sky,
I saw the heavenly farm, and the sickle of the moon,
I thought of my harvest- off the seeds I had sown.

I said to myself,
You slept away, the sun will rise soon!
You missed on your fortune!

And I heard back:
“Do not despair away- for the wasted days.
If you still reach- the heavenly heights, pure as Christ,
the sun may be eclipsed- in your rays of light!

And never hold on- to the turn of the stars!
They have led to wreckage – countless rulers, crowns!

Hafez, also beware!
The flames of deceit- will burn all the yields- of the faiths and the creeds!
Get rid of your rags, the burdens you drag, bare yourself and go!

Revenge, anger, and hatred are exceedingly low energies that keep you from matching up with the attributes
of the universal force. A simple thought of forgiveness toward anyone who might have angered you in the
past will raise you to the level of Spirit and aid you in
your individual intentions. Forgiveness is really an act
of letting go. We can do this letting go without even encountering the person we want to forgive.
This is one of the most healing things you can do.

~ Dr Wayne Dyer ~

How do you start your day? When you first wake up in the morning, what are the first words that come out of your mouth? Do you complain? Do you worry about the day ahead of you? Do you think about what’s not working in your life?

How we start our day is often how we live our lives.

What do you say when you first look in the bathroom mirror? What do you say when you take a shower? What do you say when you get dressed? How do you leave your house for work? Do you just run out or do you say something nice. And what do you do when you get into the car. Do you slam the door and growl that you have to go to work?

I would like you to start your day tomorrow with an affirmation. When you first wake up and open your eyes, here are some affirmations you can say:

Good morning, bed. Thank you for being so comfortable, I love you.

Darling (your name), this will be a blessed day.

I am a gift to the world.

There are great experiences coming my way today.

Life loves me!

And when you get up and look in the bathroom mirror, I’d like you to say these affirmations:

Good morning Darling. I love you.

We are having a great day today.

You are a magnet for miracles.

You have time for everything you need to do.

You look great today.

An affirmation is a beginning point. It opens the way. You are saying to your subconscious mind: I am taking responsibility. I am aware that there is something I can do to change.

If you continue to say the affirmation, either you will be ready to let whatever it is go, and the affirmation will become true; or it will open a new avenue to you.

Open your eyes. Open the door. Take the first step. Say these affirmations tomorrow morning. Say them for the entire week. See how you can change your life by a single thought.

Let’s affirm: Every thought I think is creating my future.

“Ra” in Sanskrit means that which is radiant and "ma" means “me”. That which shines forth within you is Rama. That which is radiant in every particle of your being is Rama. Rama was born to Dasharatha and Kaushalya. Dasharatha means "the ten-charioted one" in Sanskrit. It signifies the five sense organs and the five organs of action. Kaushalaya in Sanskrit stands for "skilled". The skilled driver of the ten chariots can give birth to Rama. When the five sense organs and the five organs of action are used skillfully, radiance is born within the heart! Rama was born in Ayodhya, which in Sanskrit means "the place where no war can happen". So when there is no conflict in your mind, then only radiance can dawn! Invest all your senses in great deeds and Rama, which means radiance, will take birth in your heart!

Delight in devotion and become a river of honey.

~ Beloved Rumi ~

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury,pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

~ Saint Francis of Assissi ~

Love is the inner bond, the inner connection, the inner link between man and God, between the finite and the infinite. We always have to approach God through love. Without love, we cannot become one with God. If we go through our journey with absolute love, we can never fail to reach God or fulfil Him, either in our own lives or in humanity.

Love is the secret key that allows a human being to open the Door of God. Where there is love, pure love, divine love, there is fulfilment. Where there is no love, it is all misery, frustration and death. The first step in our journey is love, the second step is devotion and the third step is surrender. First we have to love God. Then we have to devote ourselves to Him alone and finally we have to be at His Feet and fulfill ourselves.

What is love? If love means possessing someone or something then that is not real love; that is not pure love. If love means giving and becoming one with everything, with humanity and divinity, then that is real love. Real love is our total oneness with the object loved and with the possessor of love. Who is the possessor of love? God.

Joy Let us live in joy, not hating those who hate us. Among those who hate us, we live free of hate. Let us live in joy, free from disease among those who are diseased. Among those who are diseased, let us live free of disease. Let us live in joy, free from greed among the greedy. Among those who are greedy, we live free of greed. Let us live in joy, though we possess nothing. Let us live feeding on joy, like the bright Gods.

Victory breeds hate, for the conquered is unhappy. Whoever has given up victory and defeat is content and lives joyfully. There is no fire like lust, no misfortune like hate; there is no pain like this body; there is no joy higher than peace. Craving is the worst disease; disharmony is the greatest sorrow. The one who knows this truly knows that nirvana is the highest bliss. Health is the greatest gift; contentment is the greatest wealth; trusting is the best relationship; nirvana is the highest joy.

Whoever has tasted the sweetness of solitude and tranquility becomes free from fear and sin while drinking the sweetness of the truth. The sight of the noble is good; to live with them is always joyful. Whoever does not see fools will always be happy. Whoever associates with fools suffers a long time. Being with fools, as with an enemy, is always painful. Being with the wise, like meeting with family, is joyful. Therefore, one should follow the wise, the intelligent, the learned, the patient, the dutiful, the noble; one should follow the good and wise, as the moon follows the path of the stars.

~ Lord Buddha ~

A woman baked chapatti (roti or indian bread) for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra chapatti on the window sill, for whosoever would take it away. Every day, a hunchback came and took away the chapatti. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: "The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" This went on, day after day. Every day, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and uttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" The woman felt irritated. "Not a word of gratitude," she said to herself...

"Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?" One day, exasperated, she decided to do away with him. "I shall get rid of this hunchback," she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the chapatti she prepared for him! As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. "What is this I am doing?" she said. Immediately, she threw the chapatti into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window sill. As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and muttered the words: "The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!" The hunchback proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman.

Every day, as the woman placed the chapatti on the window sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him.. She prayed for his safe return. That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway. He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak. As he saw his mother, he said, "Mom, it's a miracle I'm here. While I was but a mile away, I was so famished that I collapsed. I would have died, but just then an old hunchback passed by. I begged of him for a morsel of food, and he was kind enough to give me a whole chapatti. As he gave it to me, he said, "This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!" " As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale.

She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned chapatti that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life! It was then that she realized the significance of the words:

"The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!"

Do good and Don't ever stop doing good, even if it is not appreciated at that time....

Your body is made of the earth.
Your breath is made of the wind.
Your mind is made of light. Your heart is made of love.
Your soul is made of the stars. Your spirit is made of eternity.

Only a powerful soul can offer love.
Only a powerful soul can afford to be humble.
If we are weak, then we become selfish.
If we are empty, we take;
but if we are filled, we automatically give to all.
That is our nature.

Do not seek fame.
Do not make plans.
Do not be absorbed by activities.
Do not think that you know.
Be aware of all that is and dwell in the infinite.
Wander where there is no path.
Be all that heaven gave you, but act as though you have received nothing. Be empty, that is all.

Be patient when you sit in the dark
The dawn is coming

~ Beloved Rumi ~

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves,
'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

~ Nelson Mandela ~

Love is the divine Mother's arms;
when those arms are spread, every soul falls into them.
The Sufis of all ages have been known for their beautiful personality. It does not mean that among them there have not been people with great powers, wonderful powers and wisdom. But beyond all that, what is most known of the Sufis is the human side of their nature: that tact which attuned them to wise and foolish, to poor and rich, to strong and weak -- to all. They met everyone on his own plane, they spoke to everyone in his own language. What did Jesus teach when he said to the fishermen, 'Come hither, I will make you fishers of men?' It did not mean, 'I will teach you ways by which you get the best of man.' It only meant: your tact, your sympathy will spread its arms before every soul who comes, as mother's arms are spread out for her little ones.

Love is the greatest gift of God. Learn the art of it. Learn the song of it, the celebration of it. It is an absolute need: just as the body can not survive without food, the soul can not survive without love. Love is the nourishment of the soul, it is the beginning of all that is great, it is the door of the divine!

Bliss is not something to be got. On the other hand you are always Bliss. This desire [for Bliss] is born of the sense of incompleteness. To whom is this sense of incompleteness?
Enquire. In deep sleep you were blissful. Now you are not so.
What has interposed between that Bliss and this non-bliss?
It is the ego. Seek its source and find you are Bliss.

Salutation to Shiva! whose glory
Is immeasurable, who resembles sky

In clearness, to whom are attributed
The phenomena of all creation,
The preservation and dissolution
Of the universe! May the devotion,
The burning devotion of this my life
Attach itself to Him, to Shiva, who,
While being Lord of all, transcends Himself.

In whom Lordship is ever established,
Who causes annihilation of delusion,
Whose most surpassing love, made manifest,
Has crowned Him with a name above all names,
The name of "Mahadeva", the Great God!
Whose warm embrace, of Love personified,
Displays, within man's heart, that all power
Is but a semblance and a passing show.

In which the tempest of the whole past blows,
Past Samskaras, stirring the energies
With violence, like water lashed to waves;
In which the dual consciousness of "I" and "Thou"
Plays on: I salute that mind unstable,
Centred in Shiva, the abode of calm!

Where the ideas of parent and produced,
Purified thoughts and endless varied forms,
Merge in the Real one; where the existence ends
Of such conceptions as "within", "without"--
The wind of modification being stilled--
That Hara I worship, the suppression
Of movements of the mind. Shiva I hail!

From whom all gloom and darkness have dispersed;
That radiant Light, white, beautiful
As bloom of lotus white is beautiful;
Whose laughter loud sheds knowledge luminous;
Who, by undivided meditation,
Is realised in the self-controlled heart:
May that Lordly Swan of the limpid lake
Of my mind, guard me, prostrate before Him!

Him, the Master-remover of evil,
Who wipes the dark stain of this Iron Age;
Whom Daksha's Daughter gave Her coveted hand;
Who, like the charming water-lily white,
Is beautiful; who is ready ever
To part with life for others' good, whose gaze
Is on the humble fixed; whose neck is blue
With the poison swallowed:
Him, we salute!

~ Swami Vivekananda, A Hymn to Lord Shiva ~

I have loved in life and I have been loved. I have drunk the bowl of poison from the hands of love as nectar, and have been raised above life's joy and sorrow. My heart, aflame in love, set afire every heart that came in touch with it. My heart has been rent and joined again;

My heart has been broken and again made whole;

My heart has been wounded and healed again;
A thousand deaths my heart has died, and thanks be to love, it lives yet. I went through hell and saw there love's raging fire, and I entered heaven illumined with the light of love.
I wept in love and made all weep with me;
I mourned in love and pierced the hearts of men;
And when my fiery glance fell on the rocks, the rocks burst forth as volcanoes.
The whole world sank in the flood caused by my one tear;
With my deep sigh the earth trembled, and when I cried aloud the name of my beloved,
I shook the throne of God in heaven.
I bowed my head low in humility, and on my knees I begged of love,
"Disclose to me, I pray thee, O love, thy secret."
She took me gently by my arms and lifted me above the earth, and spoke softly in my ear,
"My dear one, thou thyself art love, art lover,
and thyself art the beloved whom thou hast adored.”

~ Hazrat Inayat Khan, The Dance of the Soul ~

Hang the body and the mind between the arms of the beloved, in the ecstasy of love's joy:
Bring the tearful streams of the rainy clouds to your eyes,
and cover your heart with the shadow of darkness:
Bring your face nearer to his ear,
and speak of the deepest longings of your heart.
Kabir says: 'Listen to me brother!
bring the vision of the Beloved in your heart.'

~ Saint Kabir ~

When a prayer is just a thank you it is a prayer. Never ask for anything in a prayer; never say,

‘Do this, do that; don’t do this, don’t do that.’
Never advise God.  That shows your irreligiousness,
that shows your lack of trust. Thank him.
Your life is already a benediction, a blessing.
Each moment is such pure joy, but you are missing it,
that I know. That’s why the prayer is not arising —
otherwise you would build a house of prayer;
your whole life would become that house of prayer;
you would become that temple — his shrine.
His shrine would burst from your being.
He would flower in you and his fragrance
would spread to the winds!

From the depths of slumber,
As I ascend the spiral stairway of wakefulness,I whisper:
God! God! God!Thou art the food, and when I break my fast
Of nightly separation from Thee,I taste Thee, and mentally say:God! God! God! No matter where I go, the spotlight of my mind ever keeps turning on Thee, And in the battle din of activity my silent war-cry is ever:God! God! God!When boisterous storms of trials shriek And worries howl at me,I drown their noises, loudly chanting:God! God! God! When my mind weaves dreamsWith threads of memories,On that magic cloth I do emboss:God! God! God! Every night, in time of deepest sleep,My peace dreams and calls: Joy! Joy! Joy!And my joy comes singing evermore:God! God! God! In waking, eating, working, dreaming, sleeping,Serving, meditating, chanting, divinely loving, My soul constantly hums, unheard by any:
God! God! God!

That inner Self, as the primeval Spirit, Eternal, ever effulgent, full and infinite Bliss, Single, indivisible, whole and living, Shines in everyone as the witnessing awareness. That self in its splendour, shining in the cavity of the heart. This self is neither born nor dies, Neither grows nor decays,

Nor does it suffer any change. When a pot is broken, the space within it is not, And similarly, when the body dies the Self in it remains eternal.

~ Ramana Maharishi ~

Something amazing happens when we surrender and just love. We melt into another world, a realm of power already within us, flowers. The world changes when we change, the world softens when we soften. The world loves us when we choose to love the world.

~Marianne Williamson~

Like a flame that burns in silence, like a perfume that
rises straight upward without wavering, my love goes to
Thee; and like the child who does not reason and has no
care, I trust myself to Thee that Thy Will may be done,
that Thy Light may manifest, Thy Peace radiate, Thy Love
cover the world. When Thou willest I shall be in Thee,
Thyself, and there shall be no more any distinction; I
await that blessed hour without impatience of any kind,
letting myself flow irresistibly toward it as a peaceful
stream flows toward the boundless ocean.
Thy Peace is in me, and in that Peace I see Thee alone
present in everything, with the calm of Eternity.

What in your life is calling you,
When all the noise is silenced,
The meetings adjourned
The lists laid aside,
And the Wild Iris blooms
By itself
In the dark forest
What still pulls on your soul?

~Beloved Rumi~

O Divine Spirit, do You see me here? May your starry hands shower grace upon me-the strength to keep remembering You and the sorrow to keep calling You, my only refuge and comfort. Blissful, oh beautiful is your Divine World! Lift me to your world of a million twinkling stars!

Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in Being. Allow nature to teach you stillness. When you look at a tree and perceive its stillness, you become still yourself. You connect with it at a very deep level. You feel a oneness with whatever you perceive in and through stillness. Feeling the oneness of yourself with all things is love.

~ Eckhart Tolle ~

Always know that it’s all about you, YOURSELF!
Every feeling and emotion relies upon you, your inner SELF!
What you want in your life and love and future etc,
Already exist within you, your heart n’ soul!
It’s the heart of the matter, which MATTERS! So look, WITHIN!
Because everything lies within YOU! Everything you’ve lived n’ walked, is YOU!
You are you past, present and FUTURE! What have you done with IT!
And what will you do with it, from here n’ now n’ BEYOND!
Because what matters to YOU! Your dreams, your needs, your PASSION!
Has to be your total FOCUS! The eternal, internal DREAMS!
You’re children, your life, your future etc, depends upon IT/YOU!
Because the very existence of SELF! Is always waiting for you, to DREAM!
And to always dream, BIG! So start to paint that PICTURE!
As you as all, battle through every obstacle of life, love and PAIN!
But always believing in you and LOVE! Never giving up on EITHER!
Because what makes you smile..., you already KNOW!
So continue to look within, always searching YOURSELF!
Unfolding and producing the best of YOU!
The life, love and future you WANT!
Because only you can do THIS!

There is a beautiful story about the flute of Lord Krishna. You know Krishna always holds a flute in his hand, but there is a great story behind it. Everyday Krishna would go in the garden and say to all the plants, “I love you”. The plants were very happy and responded back and said “Krishna, we love You, too”.One day Krishna rushed quickly into the garden very alarmed. He went to the bamboo plant and the bamboo plant asked,“Krishna, what´s wrong with you?” Krishna said “I have something to ask you, but it is very difficult”.

The bamboo said “Tell me: if I can, I will give it to you”.
So Krishna said “I need your life. I need to cut you”.
The bamboo thought for a while and then said “You don´t have any other choice.
You don’t have any other way?”

Krishna said, “No, no other way”. And it said “OK, I surrender to you”. So Krishna cut the bamboo, made holes in it, and each time, while he was doing that, the bamboo was crying with pain, because he was paining the bamboo so much. Krishna made a beautiful flute out of it. And this flute was with Krishna all the time. 24 hours a day, it was with Krishna. Even the Gopis were jealous of the flute.
They said, “Look, Krishna is our Lord, but yet we get to spend only some time with him. He wakes up with you, He sleeps with you, all the time you are with him”.

So one day they asked the bamboo, “Tell us the secret of it. What secret do you have, that the Lord treasures you so much?” And the bamboo said “The secret is that I´m empty inside. And the Lord does whatever he wants with me, whenever he wants with me and however he wants with me”.

God wants complete surrender so He can fully occupy you, whenever He wants, as He wants. And for that you don’t need to be scared, you just have to give yourself.
And who is yourself in reality? It’s just Him!

!! Jai Shri Krishna !! Jai Shri Krishna !! Jai Shri Krishna !!

~ An Enlightening Fable ~

A certain person came to the Friend's door
and knocked.
"Who's there?"
"It's me."
The Friend answered, "Go away. There's no place
for raw meat at this table."
The individual went wandering for a year.
Nothing but the fire of separation
can change hypocrisy and ego. The person returned
completely cooked,
walked up and down in front of the Friend's house,
gently knocked.
"Who is it?"
"You."
"Please come in, my self,
there's no place in this house for two.
The doubled end of the thread is not what goes through
the eye of the needle.
It's a single-pointed, fined-down, thread end,
not a big ego-beast with baggage."

~ Beloved Rumi ~
From Essential Rumi
by Coleman Barks

Rumi’s love for Allah was a fiery one, with a constant weeping and longing for God’s mysteries. Love for anything other than God is not real Love: ‘Wherever I put my head, that is my place of worship. No matter where I am, that is where God is. Vineyards, roses, nightingales, the sema and loving . They are all symbols, the reason is always Him.’ Allah is the Beloved and Rumi bewails his separation from Him, as theney weeps at its separation from the reed bed whence it came and longs for return.

He experienced love and passion both through his solitary asceticism and his communal engagements and said: ‘The way of God’s Messenger is the way of Love. We are the children of Love. Love is our mother.’ It was in his solitariness that he became most open to the truest union with God, and it was in his separation from all things except God that he became like a ball of fire. And while such a sense of burning would prove difficult for many to bear, Rumi, considered it an essential part of passion, and not complaining was viewed as a tradition of loyalty.

To him, those who profess a love of God must necessarily accompany their statement of ‘I love’ with a sense of furious burning—this is the price one must willingly pay for being close to God or in union with Him: ‘I was raw, I am now cooked and burnt.’ Additionally, one must engage in ascetic behavior such as moderate eating, drinking, sleeping, and a constant awareness and directedness towards God in one’s speech, and one must inevitably experience bewilderment at God’s bounties.

Rumi cannot understand how a lover can sleep in an immoderate way, as it takes away from time shared with the Beloved. For him, excessive sleeping was offensive to the Beloved. As God instructed David by saying, ‘O David, those who indulge in sleeping without contemplating Me, while they claim passion for Me, are really lying,’ so also Rumi states, ‘When the darkness falls, lovers become intense.’

Rumi continually prescribed this in word, and also showed it in his actions.
